Basketmakers and potters have paired up to present new work ranging from sculptural pieces and wall hangings to more classic vessel forms. The synergy of two artists working together is a new world for unique and fanciful work.
Reed and clay are not usually perceived as natural partners in a piece, yet the Guild members have been very successful in marrying the two in innovative and exciting ways.
Over twenty individual basketmakers and potters present new work from raku to willow, rough to smooth and from bold colours to natural palettes. Art Spring welcomes visitors daily Monday to Friday and during special performances to view this show.
